  • Do you take insurance for your mobile service?

Our convenience fee is a self-pay rate that is not billed to insurance and is due at time of service.

The convenience fee covers our full service of coming out to your preferred location (home or office), collecting your sample, processing it to lab specifications and delivering it to the lab that is in network with your insurance plan.

We do submit your insurance information to the laboratory testing your samples so that they can bill your insurance for the testing costs.

Our mobile draw convenience fee is separate from the testing costs charged by the lab. In most instances, your insurance will cover the testing costs minus any co-pays or deductibles you may be responsible for. If you are unsure of these costs, please contact your insurance carrier for more details.

*The fees charged by the lab (labcorp or sonora quest) remain the same, whether you choose our convenient mobile lab service or prefer the traditional in-person visit.

  • What are OptiVena Mobile Phlebotomy's fees for a mobile draw?

Our mobile lab service is here to make your life easier, whether you are at home or the office. Our standard fee is $65 for next-day routine or specialty kit service and $70 for same-day service.

The standard fee covers a 20-mile radius from Queen Creek, AZ, including San Tan Valley, Florence, Apache Junction, Gilbert, Chandler, and Mesa.

There is a small additional fee of $0.60 per mile for locations outside of this radius.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We totally get that life happens sometimes! If you need to cancel your appointment and give us at least a 24-hour notice, we will make sure you get a full refund.

However, if things change last-minute and you are unable to let us know in time, the appointment fee unfortunately becomes non-refundable. We are here to work with you and appreciate your understanding!

  • How do I get my lab test results?

You'll receive your lab results the same way as if you visited the lab in person for your blood work. It's just as reliable and convenient!

Some patients are able to access their results via a patient portal either through their doctor's office or a direct patient portal through Labcorp or Sonora Quest.

We do not have access to patient results here, but don't worry! Your results are sent straight to your doctor or ordering provider by Labcorp or Sonora Quest. If you encounter any hiccups with getting your results, we're here to help to the best of our ability.

  • What if I don't have a lab order?

You can still book your appointment even if you do not have your lab order handy.

However, we must receive it prior to your appointment in order to ensure we arrive with the necessary supplies and to ensure the lab will accept the sample when we drop it off. We can't perform any specimen collections without a valid, signed lab order from a licensed medical professional.

If it is more convenient, your doctor's office can send the order directly to us via fax at 623-288-5074 or email at contact@optivena.com, along with a copy of your insurance card and demographics sheet. We'll take it from there!

  • What areas do you service?

We currently are able to service all of Southern Arizona. However, our standard rates cover most cities within the East Valley of Phoenix, AZ.

This includes the cities and towns of Queen Creek,  San Tan Valley, Florence, Apache Junction, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler , Tempe, Gold Canyon and Coolidge.

Cities in the West Valley of Phoenix, AZ or any cities outside of our service areas will be subject to an additional travel fee. This fee is specified at time of booking online or when booking over the phone with us.

  • Two people in my home need blood work, can I schedule under one appointment?

If there are multiple people in your household who need blood work done, we'll need each person to schedule their own appointment. This helps us keep everything organized by maintaining separate records for each patient.  Thanks for understanding!

  • Can I add an additional lab order from another doctor after scheduling my appointment?

Yes! As long as we receive the order before the appointment date, you can add an additional order from another doctor. Once we arrive at your appointment, we cannot accept any additional orders. This is because we prepare for appointments beforehand and arrive with the necessary supplies for the lab order we received from you at the time of booking.
